Short Attention Span
Noticed that sher hve very short attention span, I was wondering if it is becos she's watching too mch TV. She's a real addict and if you interrupt her while she's watching the tube, she would be mad abt it. Maybe, both hubby & me are partly to be blamed as we are couch potatoes too. :P Most weekdays, sher will be at her grandparents house and TV is part of life for them. So, sher is of cos being influenced.
Try to catch her attention and she would ignored you. It's even worse if Barney or Hi-5 is playing. Hope other distraction will let her forget TV for awhile.

I took my last childcare leave to explore Sher's nursery school and at the same time, we hve our friends dropping by our humble abode. Baked cheesecake for all and overall, it's good to catch-up.
Meet Roman Sage, Sher's little bf. He's such a sweet boy and both hit it off right from the start.

Getting creative
Just a shot of her work
We got creative last Sunday as I got the paint-set out and we did painting. Tis is one of the things that sher likes to do. I just can't help noticed that my little girl is embracing arts than anything else. She likes nothin more than singing, music, dance & painting.

Fun painting seashells black, now she insists on 'weird' colours. Quoting purple crab bt tis is all about CREATIVE! :)
It's also another great bonding session as helper took her off day. We basically did everything together. Sher is getting more independent now and when it comes to play, she's totally engrossed in it, forgetting those around her.

心痛
Felt a stab in the heart after I heard sher's sentence... Sher practically dropped my hand while we were walking home. She immediately said,"I want to hold Aunty's hand." I was frankly terribly jealous at that point but at the same time felt that it was'nt much of my choice that I have to plonk in long hours of work, separating us apart. I must say disappointment was written all over my face although my helper told sher that she should come hold my hand instead. I just ignored her for a few minutes... anyway, it's just a yucky feelin..
Wanted to tell tis to my darling girl, if you hppn to read tis blog post.. Mummy loves you so much even if I'm at work. So much so that it pains me that you are getting close to outsider instead of me.

Stupid Flu Bug
Last weekend was terrible, almost the entire family was sick.. sher got the worst hit, running a fever on & off, her appetite gone off entirely and she refused to even drink milk. Her nose was runny, had bad breath and was coughing badly. Helper and me also was not spared either, causing me to take a day off rest from wrk on Monday. I was so worried as sher didnt take any solid for 3 days, if nt she will puked if she did. Her weight dropped sharply to 10.8kg. This lit' one just can't be plump, just when I thought she's puttin on weight, the bug got to her. It's really heartwrenching to see her grow thinner and bonier each day.

飲茶
Had lunch at 飲茶 last sun and satisfied our crave for 點心, I must say the std had indeed improve since our last visit ages ago. We will definitely visit again! Sher was a darling that day and finished her food quickly, her cute looks (mummy buay paiseh) also earned us freebies loaded by the serving aunty.
A pity that I never took a shot of the deliciously yummy 點心.

Shrek 3
We managed to catch Shrek 3 over the long stretch of break(esp for me) and overall, Sher & myself really enjoyed it. I noticed that Sher also had a longer attention span than the previous movie Happy Feet. She has taken a liiking to Puss (the cat) and imitate the claw scratching action "Meooww...." A lot of effort was made in producing Shrek 3, even the movement of the hair was emphasised (I like prince C sweeping his hair, lookin like an adv for shampoo), applauding the team effort.
And I must praise our darling for putting on her best behaviour throughout the whole show, sitting quietly on our laps. The Shrek headband was bought way before we caught the movie, another good cause is to support charity too.

Afternoon at Carribean last Saturday
We were at Carribean @Keppel Bay upon invitation by Shirley (Sher's godma) and we had a great time at the children's playground and kids pool. Dipping in the pool is a quick relief to the scorching weather. All these activities made Sher so tired tt she dozed off the moment we were on the cab.

There's even a slide at the kids pool, how cool is that! Sher taking a shot at it, but at the 3rd & last attempt, she hurt her nosebridge, cried big time and refused to try again.

Back-dated Blog on long wkend

These were some of the activities we did over the long weekend which made the lit' one jump with glee... Actually wanted to plan for a picnic, but plan didn't work so we ended shopping at VivoCity. I also promised to bring sher to the play area. So, it's killing 2 birds with a stone as I'm enjoying the GSS shopping while sher had fun playing. (It beats me on how she ended up w a torn shirt)
See how cousin Aloysious acting a protective big brother to sher. They share a very close bond and Sher really like her cousin bro.
How come it's not goin up & down? I aint heavy enough!

I can do it by myself!
Under the influence of Barney Videos, Sher echoed it frequently... Although, it's a good thing that she learned to be independent and had her ready for pre-school. But, on the other hand, she will start her tantrum if we stepped in to assist her especially when we're rushing for time.
So far, she likes to -
- Dress/Undress herself prior her bathe
- Hold the showerhead during her bathtime
- Powder herself after shower
- Button her shirt
- Comb her hair
- Wash her hands
- Drink water in glasses
- Pour milk into her barney bowl filled w honeystar
- Turn on/off TV, air-con remote control
- Pat her doll to zzzz
- Feed her toys
- Measure her height
- Open/Close the fridge
- Throw her socks/dirty laundry into washing machine
- Put on her socks and shoes
- Choose what she's gonna wear out
- Open the drawers to take her collection of books out
- Blow bubbles
- Play by herself, pretend to cook for her 'mates'
- Keep her toys after play

Terrible 2 Tantrum
My little princess is turning into lit' monster... and tantrum is getting out of hand at times.
Spare the rod and spoilt the child. Do you agree with this statement? Apparently, hb and I had been debating this for quite awhile. I agree that at times, discipline is the only way to teach her. Especially, enforcing the message across in terms of respect for elders or even have good table manners. But it still hurts when hb do the thrashing as I could'nt stop myself sobbing helplessly. When it comes to the discipline dept, daddy is the overall in-charge.
