  Mysterious Bites
On Monday evening, We discovered that Sher's face got 5 red spots on her cheek.. which looks like insect bite to me. She was complaining the itch and it was only after she came back from school that her Grandpa noticed these spots. Told her CC teacher about it and she assured that they will look into the matter. Just hope these won't leave any marks on her face cos it's so difficult to remove the scar.

  School Going Days
Little one is adapting well at school with the exception of whether she 'wakes up at the right side of the bed'. So far, she's still telling me that she don't want to go to school. But, I persisted that she should go school, telling her all the great stuff about school. It was definitely an improvement as she stopped crying since yesterday and showed positivity in going to school. Whenever I bade her goodbye, she will tell me that she's waiting for her grandpa to fetch her after her tea-break in the afternoon. Looks like she's looking forward towards the end of the day. When I asked her what did she do at school, she told me that she will eat, sleep and play. Then, Ah gong will come and fetch her. Seriously, I got no idea that she perceived school in such a way.

  B'day Dinner At GLaSS BaR

Photobucket

Hiding in my own cocoon, right way to reflect what I was feeling @ tt moment

I know, I know tis blog posting was so loong overdue... but I was in a sort of personal struggle, re-adjusting in terms of personal space and re-aligning to my life goal. But glad to say, Thank God that I've found the light of path and am on the rebound. Sorry guys if I've been complaining lately to you or having you to take the brute of my downside... esp my poor hb who took effort in making my b'day special but I wasn't on my chirpy mood.

Hubby came to pick me up @ Ritz-Carlton and took me to Jewel Box, Glass Bar for a cosy dinner. The setting was amazingly romantic and we practically have the whole restaurant to ourself. I ordered the terayaki cod-steak while hb had the rib-eye steak. Food was overrated & pricey. It was the atmosphere that we were paying for, the peak of Mount Faber overlooking the scenery with cable-cars was indeed captivating. Seems like hitting the big 3 has been w/o the bday cake a norm for me. We ended the evening taking a stroll down Labrador Park (Our wedding photoshoot spot), some 'precious' quiet couple time ourselves.

M: ok sure , remember what you have said ok.
S: Ok, promise.
S: I drive small car and Mummy sits beside me.
M: ok.

  Down with Fever
I might have said things too quickly, as the moment I blogged about Sher being happily settled at school, I got a call from the sch supervisor that Sher was crying hysterically yesterday afternoon. I managed to speak with Sher over the phone and her sobbing was terrible, wished I could appear there at that moment. It all happened during her naptime and after she woke up from her nap. I just called Teacher Melissa to verify on what actually happened. She was telling me that apparently, she thought Teacher Melissa had left the premises and Chinese Teacher, Ms Chen stepped away thus she started crying. It seemed she got attached to the teachers and might felt that she was 'abandoned'. (Usually at home, she's just busy playing on her own unless she has a need, she will either look for helper or me)
I was trying to "fish out" from her personally why she was crying non-stop. She said she wanted to go home... Then, she told me that she did'nt want to go school the next day. I kept telling her she had to go school, 'painting a beautiful picture ' playing with her friends at playground.
We slept early at 9am last night as this few days was obviously less sleeping hours for Sher who could clock atleast 10hrs normally. At around 5am, I woke up and realised that Sher was running a temperature. So today, she had to miss her classes due to fever. Let's hope she will be better next week, keeping my fingers crossed.

  Send-Off

Photobucket

Photobucket

It's always difficult to bade farewell, but there's always such episodes..Hubby Aunt and her family was going back to Nihon, was taking the 1am flight today. The whole entourage followed to send them off at the Airport. Little girl was extremely tired after school but she insisted on sending her Grand-aunt off. I managed to take some nice shots of the kids.

It's Shervon 1st day at school yesterday and we took childcare leave to ensure that she's adapting well in the new environment. All worries was unfounded as she bade goodbye after removing her shoes and she dashed off to mingle with her new classmates. No whining and crying from her as she was taking everything positively except of cos waking her up in the early morning which is the only obstacle which I have to go through daily. I think it was good as I prep her by telling her all the good stuff about school. :P As hubby was saying, she was the happiest among the kids. She was outspoken and was sharing toys with them.

As normal S'porean parents, we peeked through the window to see that she's taking instruction well and eating her meals. I was amazed that she was feeding herself well, messy-less although she did complain to Teacher Melissa about the 'big' portion on her bowl. But yet, she still ended up finishing up everything. I was really proud of her. I think we spoilt her rotten at home, during mealtime, she was always giving excuses on not finishing up her food. During the end of the day, we went back and fetch her. Teacher Melissa was saying that she's quite distracted during class and 'kaypoh' at the other class.

Overall, I am glad that she's coping well with school and hope that her knowledge grows and good habits is reinforced over time.

  New Year's Day

A Happy New Year to all family & friends!! We had a wonderful break as Daddy had prepared a scrumptious Brunch for us. As we toasted to welcome the New Year, replacing Champagne with OJ- Orange Juice. Actually, it was memorable & touching as Hubby seldom cooked for us and basically, we won't have such opportunity for the next few years, I suppose. And I must say he's a better chef than me, always loved the food he carefully prepared with sincerity.

As I was blogging on my previous post about major changes #2, it's time to unveil... that we have officially shifted over to my inlaws place & we had rented out our 'nest'. This was decided after many nights of unrest zzzz, many tossing and turning in bed... Of cos there will be pros n cons on not having a place all by ourselves. But for the good & convenience of Sher, who started school this year, we decided to shift. Her school is located at the next block of inlaws house. So, I could just drop her off before I headed to work. (I shall blog more abt her 1st Day at School) The extra income of the rental fee also served as a saving and investment tool for us. All in all, I had no issue staying with my inlaws which is highly important and they are easy-going folks.

Back to our New Year's Day activities, we were invited to MIL's bro condo for a gathering and the kids could play at the pool. Above are the shots taken... njoy!
